Well, it's not finished yet. But considering the rules of this forum, this is where I'm supposed to post it. It was requested and attempted years ago, but it's about time there's actually some headway for this guy.



This will be my first ever skin and sprite set for Doom, to think it'd be starting with this game mode in particular...

But anyways, give me some advice on what to add or fix before I finish it.

That's actually not too bad. He probably shouldn't be a Megaman edit, since he's such a big beefy dude; Stone Man would work better. He also should have the rifle visible all the time, since that's how it worked in Doom.

I feel I should mention there is kind of already a Doom Guy skin in this mod. [Note: this mod is out of date and will be updated when the time comes]
I suppose it's not bad, but you may want to work on the body a bit...and by a bit I mean a lot, as Megaman edits need to be pretty much complete resprites to be considered amazing. While the skin in the mod I posted isn't the best, I guess it's decent for what we have, for being a frankenedit.

Not to discourage the creation of the skin, of course. I just want to ensure you were informed.

He has a damn sexy helmet, I ain't gonna lie.
Might be a little bit better with a few more shades of cyan on his body for the weapon colours, but aside from that, ya done good!

A beta download link is up for a few days. He'll still remain a Mega Man sprite edit for now.

There's no need for the extra pain sprites, only the FR and BR pains are needed.

They will show up if named correctly, just no other skins have the full rotations. I'd say go for it if you want, don't see any harm in it.

I expected normal ol' doom guy. I didn't expect this certainly. It's fitting, I like it.
Now I challenge you! Make doom guy's stage. You know, treat him like  the rest of the boss characters. Also, his signature weapon should be the BFG.

E1M1 however doesn't. And is the most iconic Doom stage.
