I'm just going to put it out there that CSR did not get retired due to a lack of trainer concepts.

The game died because no one did anything, I doubt there's really much there for you to do.

But to be more precise, the game died because DY was effectively our only coder. I might try to take over the coding job, as there's still plenty of resources waiting to be used and presumably spriters to fill in the gaps, but the biggest hurdles would be getting more coders to help finish this within the next two decades and deciphering DY's half-finished code. Finishing what somebody else has started isn't easy in the world of coding.

Have you ever used RPGMakerXP before? If you haven't, I highly encourage you brush up on that first. Besides, the actual group is pretty sedentary so I don't think I should "take the reins" as it were and make my own team before consulting with them first.

tl;dr i would prefer the go ahead from the chat which i'll probably look for soon

(The first three videos are giving me errors, so I'm going off the fourth one)

Putting in a trainer is nice and all, but there isn't really all that much that you've changed from the placeholder maps. Have you actually scripted any scenes or made any custom maps?

Keep in mind that we do need the will power of more than one person to keep this alive. I'd say the game in its entirety was only about 10% done. Maybe a little less.
