None of that old, kiddy "Mega Man 8-bit deathmatch" stuff. This is for real, modern gamers.
Er...was.

Would really have loved something like this. Hardcore FPS all in Megaman X style. Yes Please.
Just as long as it stayed true to the MMX forumula of course, such as getting armours and abilities.

This is a Mega Man game?
Looks neat nonetheless but until the camera shifted on what seems like a Pantheon I couldn't believe this had anything to do with the Blue Bomber. It's incredibly gritty looking, even for the X series.
The concept of a more out there FPS in the Mega Man franchise isn't necessarily a bad one either but this didn't really capture any of the awe I had when looking at any of the Blue Bomber's adventures for the first time.

I think this would have been a great game. Darker realism is just what this series needed. Why are there still so many games being made for kids these days? I'm imagining a bunch of people posting in this thread about how it may have absolutely nothing to do with Mega Man's original style, but so what? It's so outdated, and for children, at that. A more realistic reboot is more than perfect for such a cartoony and immature series such as this. I am very disappointed this was canceled without even given a proper chance (thanks Inafune, we all don't miss you at all). We may have actually had a decent installment in this dead series, instead of that stupid crossover.
I mean, just look at these childish series having fantastic games when they started to not pander to little toddlers.

Wow! I think that game would have been amazing.
The "fatality" animations seem to take a bit long, though.

It certainly feels like another game with "X" using the enemy weapons. The "X Buster", which I'm assuming is the weapon used in the first video, looks like a machine gun or something else. It doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look like Megaman at all.

Meh, this just looks like more of a Halo Game than Actually MegaMan X.
The HUD and everything just smells like Halo.

I watched the first video, and I thought it looked like what Servbot there said...like Halo. Then I read further and realized why the cinematic looked like Metroid Prime...which was a good series...to be honest, the only things I didn't really like where use of actual guns and the cutscenes.

Looks like a fairly nifty game, but not so much a Mega Man game. MM, or any other oldschool title where platforming action was the main draw for that matter, just plain will not work in 3D without becoming an entirely different sort of beast.

In a way, I'm glad that this didn't take off because so many people would blame Capcom for ripping off of the Metroid series, Halo series, etc., and the fact of the matter is, well, they'd be right (Sorry for the truckload of commas)! I just didn't feel like this was a Megaman game at all. In the second video, from what I saw the way to steal others powers was by ripping their arms off? Not very Megaman-esque to me. I don't mind Megaman becoming more adult at all, but this simply isn't Megaman.

The REAL Mega Man FPS = ABSOLUTLY NOT.
MM8BDM have the spirit of a megaman who can be a doom like (or fps).
Not this horrible thing, the character design and general design is horrible; it's absolutly not megaman;..you can go play doom 3 or call of duty or others FPS/Doom like, there is a lot of FPS who born every "day" (and it's bad).
It's worst than Bad Box Art Megaman from the fighting game X___x
Worst thing ever, good to see It wasnt finished.
Please, there is a lot of other FPS, don't kill megaman with a fps who doesnt have the spirit/sens of the serie!
MM8BDM do perfectly that anyways
