Cubeworld! A minecraft style action game?

I'm here to bring up a rather interesting looking game known as cubeworld. It has elements of a lot of different games, most notably minecraft, and has a very unique look and feel to it. Take a look for yourselves!

Personally, I think that the world generation in this game looks amazing.

Apparently the game isn't out yet, but unless the information I've found is wrong, it should be out sometime in August.

Definitely going to give it a try when it hits.

"Minecraft style" is a very, very incorrect way to describe this game. The closest similarity is that the world is blocky.

It will have building in it. Not as free as minecraft's building, but there will still be a sandbox element of building to it.

Remember when everyone was calling Terraria basically 2D Minecraft and they were wrong?

Well this looks more like a 3D Terraria than Minecraft.
I say that in a very hopeful tone, because this looks like it is quite a good game.

Terraria was a good game, I still have yet to beat it on my PS3.
I'll try to get this one day.

Well, I can't host for a bit considering I'm moving back into my apartment. By the 19th (Monday) I'll be able to host under a new IP and I'll be sure to let all those who've added me on skype know of the server's status. Anyone been  playing single player? If so, how go your adventures? I'm a level 62 Water Mage trying to grind legendary gear and a decent pet.

Its not anything like Terraria or Minecraft. The blocky style has fooled a lot of people into thinking that, but really the only thing they have in common is a procedurally generated world and a blocky art style. The similarities end there.

This game is essentially an open-world action RPG, and an entertaining one at that. It plays absolutely nothing like Minecraft OR Terraria.

I'm liking the game so far, but the early game is pretty harsh. Most enemies are stronger than you starting off, so you really have to search around for enemies you can actually stand a chance against.
