There is now a link to where you can find it the other notes section of the opening post. Just keep in mind, while it looks nice, skyboxes can be added in later. Textures can be adjusted later, what I'm looking for is a solid layout.

Reidakk and I wanted to stay true to the games. But if the judges really want it, it can be added.

Signing up for Top Man.

I would also like to request rotations of that enemy that creates spinning tops. Purely for decoration purposes.

So Smashbro brought something up to me, so I'll share it here as well.

You can use custom music in your map entries. However, if the map gets accepted, it's obviously going to be using the vanilla music.

Guys, remember to use Block Monsters on the lines leading to pits. We don't want poor Top/Wave/Burst to die in a tragic fashion.

Pardon me for asking, but, where may I find the vanilla mapping conventions?

Being someone who has never made a map, I know I stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning, but, I'd like the experience of trying, and I'm unfamiliar with said conventions. Is there a thread that lists the mapping conventions?

Hey Linnie, don't be like that. We've had some pretty impressive mappers show up out of the blue and designed a beautiful map that could compete with the veterans of the community, you could be the next one too.

Anyways, the conventions aren't too much to worry about, if it looks like an official map, then generally you are on the right track, but the some rules of thumb off the top of my head.
1) No Diagonal sectors that aren't 45 degrees, or circular.
2) All sector brightness is at 255
3) Sector heights should increment/decrement in multiples of 16.

There aren't any hard conventions listed anywhere, even though I could of sworn Mike mentioned them somewhere, but oh well, hopefully that can help.

I would gladly provide some feedback and advice for your map if you ever start, Linnie.

Thank you for your votes of confidence. I was thinking of Spring Man, since his stage is simple enough and it has relatively less competition. Kapus, would you provide feedback even though it's in contest with your map?

Of course. If I thought your map was better than mine, I would root for you.

I would like to sign up for Spring Man.

I'd be happy to provide feedback and whatnot for other entries, since I'm just here to try and help get some good maps into the core. And if need be, I'd also be fine with my entry being discounted from being judged for the grand prize or whatever, since I've already got a mapping compo medal.

Eh, mark me down for Spring Man.  I have no allusions of winning, I just want to play with springs.
