I have seen some people who rage against mm8BDM because they think We are the problem of their low number of people in their servers.
Or MM8BDM who are against class and saxtonhale.....seriously! Be responsible of the mode/game YOU like, not the problem of the game/mode played.
Anyways, i posted that on the comments:

"Stop to be mad and be happy for the new version, that's the most important, each guy CAN play the mode he wants, i would want play more TLMS Class v6 but It is not a the problem of saxtonhale, try to put more people on your mode, it's too easy to say "no more people on duel, damn saxtonclass!" People play what they want, thats all.

yesterday, a guy called Ogre spammed sentences AGAINST mm8bdm....it was so boring....

I would want KY class too (but KY wont continue -_____-)but V6G is more fun for people, so i will help V6G from Jaxof (for servers or Conventions )  

Anyways, i wanted make this threat topic specially for the rage guys who spam the tchat and say bad things about mm8bdm, can we ban them for a moment (or forever?  :twisted:  )

The problem in question is that the saxton hale and any server with classes were the most active servers related to MM8BDM, but even then they weren't active 24-7, because a lot of people were eager to play other things like Obstacle Course, LMS Games... Heck, even vanilla CTF could get crowded. But, since Classes Saxton popped up, it pretty much overpowered every other server, regardless of content. Even the rare Chaos Generator server didn't get the attention it deserved when it popped up, getting less than 8 players in.

It's not a matter of "Play what I want" for those cases, but rather "Play where there are people". MM8BDM is mostly oriented to PvP (DeathMatch, of course), which means you are dependant on other players in order to even have fun. Cooperative mode and Invasion mode disposes of this need to some extent, but it is still in early alpha stages for that, thus not gaining much spotlight as of yet.

Creating new mods is uneffective unless there are enough people willing to provide support not by producing, but by PLAYING it. Want an example? Check out Uki's weapons, Unreal Weapon Packs, UnHoly Classes, Railgun, Contra, Super Contra, Lobster's Obstacle Course, Missions, Strength In Numbers... But YD Classes still overshadows all that there is, or that there will be. For reasons unknown.

You know how people often poke fun at me and all, but when I make a statement right, even those who just fool around come to agreement. And today, I had people agree with me that "If Classes Saxton Hale was shut down for one week, activity would increase rapidly in other servers".

I personally dislike YD classes for any mod mixing (Classes Ragenza, Classes Saxton Hale, Classes Whatever-Floats-Your-Boat) due to how they CRUSH the balance. Even for LMS (and TLMS) they are pretty bad, because it is too easy for one single class to dominate. However DM may be more suitable, because it gives much chance to catch up and correct your mistakes, or CTF because it encourages teamwork. But LMS and any modmix? They encourage stalling, domination or just cowardice (Check out top and star gang beating Morshu to a pulp in Saxton, or Quickman running from the danger only to be the last one standing)

Again, my opinion, not that it matters.

Oh, i understand.....yeah, it's maybe too played, because only that, i dont understand maybe people are stressed by competitive mode (Duel qbox) or mode who need real skill and have a "Ranking"....
Don't take seriously a game is cool, but take is with too much fun or funny style "sucks" because it's not serious at all and too much without sens...
I play me too ClassSaxtonhale because nobody is on a TLMS class or TDM KY class.... But i try to enjoy it ^^ Maybe it will change.

Usually if I see a screw scramble server up I join it regardless of the number of players (I at least sit there for awhile waiting to see if anyone would join) despite how "NonSaxtonHaleMeta" it may be, then someone joins and we have ourselves a grand time.

MM8BDM is starting to fall under this:

You know your game is bad, if people only play the Zombie Infection, NPC Zombie Swarm, and Boss Fight Modes.

Microvolts and Rock Hippo's.. other game, falls under this category, MM8BDM slightly slips into it.
Rock Hippo does not even know how to balance their stuff, plus they make P2W games.

Er, back to the subject. I usually don't play on any servers unless there are enough familiar people in it. If I'm just sweeping newcomers, I feel guilty.

Saxton Classes is annoying, sure, but I find usually that I'm not obligated to play it because the cycle of subpopularity beneath it tends to cycle out at a rather regular rate. Saxton Classes will remain the most popular thing for who the hell knows how long, but beneath it we have gems like LMS, CTF, Rage Roboenza, all of which cycle in and out of the limelight at a pretty decent rate.

I would host more servers myself but uh......yea it's a long story.

Anyways, even if the saxton server is crowded I usually find at LEAST one other server with at LEAST one person in it, so, because I'm horrid at Balrog's SH, I usually go to another server, and before long, more people start to join. I have noticed that there are some people who would rather play SH than pratically anything, but some people who play SH play because that's the only server with people on. My opinion, if you really want people to join, then be patient and wait in the server you want people to join in, even if there's no people. It usually works.

You can't stop people playing what they like. If you can arrange mini-events here with friends you know who are willing to play, more people will be willing to join servers with 5+ people in. Is one way to get the ball rolling.

Coming up with newer game modes is a better option. It feels like gamemodes that have a chance at putting you in the spotlight are the most popular at the moment.

I try to do that, I talk about this game to my friends, the friends of my friends, my family, even my dog(is called Malla)
But no one of them play or try the game.... I love this game, one day, I,ll make DVD or CD containing all the versions and mods from this game for future generations, they will see what is GAME a REAL COOL FREE GAME where variety, playability and other things makes you smile like a child with the first monocromatic Game Boy in his hands.

I think V6G is more like a FPS/ rôle kill type.....with some robotmasters, you can't kill a lot of people with DM/TDM....
With Class DM: Just use Airman, Napalmman, Freezeman or big spam strong robotmasters.....
Airman can't be so effective in TLMS, it's the reason He wasnt nerfed I think.

In LMS or Buckshot type, everybody can do some frags!  
Diveman, woodman.....
But yeah, the maps are made for the "normal" mode, anyways...

Why don't you just invite friends to play whatever mode you want? If you get a few people to play it more people might join.  (I don't know if that's gramatically right, lol)

It would be nice to have more bot apoc, ctf, and screw scramble.
I don't like Saxton hale all that much, and classes has been so beaten into the ground that I have absolutely no fun with it.

But I don't begrudge people for enjoying these things.

I just don't like it when people start blaming certain gamemodes for the decline of the game. I was among those saying it was Classes, but only because that's all that people do. Heck, even Roboenza is under the radar now. I will even go out on a limb and say "Vanilla" (as in no extra wads besides map packs), Saxton Hale is losing popularity as well. But do I complain about it? Not that much, and even then, I prefer to keep my own opinions to myself as to avoid starting any possible debates that could get out of hand. However, Saxton Hale has had a good effect on me as far as programming-wise. I benefit when people play my Overhaul (and will even more when people play Rebirth in the future), since it shows that people do enjoy the work I either put out myself, or assist with. This is why I get upset when Saxton Hale is blamed, since it comes down to the fact people are talking about my version of the mod that people decided to mix Classes with it and destroy what I intended for the mode to be.

But this is also why I decide to work on other ideas, since there has to be something else that I can be known for besides Saxton Hale and Hide 'n' Seek. For instance, I am working on a MM8BDM version of Endless Attack, and I assist right now in the Rockman 4 MI expansion and being a beta tester for Gummywormz's projects (thus far being LMSGames and QInvasion). Then of course, there's the Saxton Hale Rebirth project, which should provide a different experience for those that played Balrog's/Silversin's and Lego's versions. Finally, I'm hosting servers like Survival Mission Mode and Vanilla TLMS. I am working to be part of the solution to the problem, but my work alone won't be enough if people are not willing to play other modes.
