I'll just throw this out there and be on my merry way.

Sorry for not being a blind Nintendo fangirl. And for using my right to have bad opinions.

P.S. Zelda 1 is the best official Zelda game in my opinion. Not the best Nintendo game.

Like it or not, you can't really deny the 3DS' success so far.

people should not hate on a system directed towards little kids

i mean it's not like you have to buy it

besides, a cheap backwards-compatible durable handheld is a pretty good deal

not to mention the top screen has an extra layer to avoid scratches or so i've heard

I think it's supposed to be a tablet, but not really as it focuses more on games.

That's nifty and all, but can you carry it in your jeans pocket?

And $130 is steep for something I can't put in my pocket

I can think of a loooot of things people would pay $130 for that can't fit in their pocket.

Just kidding, but anyway, in all seriousness, I think this thing is actually a pretty smart move on Nintendo's part. Like three of my friends want X and Y but don't want to shell out the cash for a 3DS for just one game... well, this is a much cheaper alternative for them since they only really want the one game. Makes plenty of sense to me.

So Nintendo finally realized that the 3DS is not all that good and a disappointment compared to the DS/DSlite and that 3D doesn't make a console great?

The 3DS has a great lineup of games
    Kid Icarus: Uprising
    Mario Kart 7
    Animal Crossing New Leaf
    Pokemon Rumble Blast
    Fire Emblem: Awakening
    Project X Zone
    and coming soon...
    Pokemon X and Y
    Super Smash Bros for 3DS

Honestly, in no way do I find it a disappointment, I actually enjoy it a lot better than the DS/DSlite in the fact that Nintendo really upped their game with their hardware. The DS era was good, but the hardware was very lacking (especially in sound... the games with voice acting sounded really gurgly).

Also, I'm not bashing your "bad opinions", I'm just somewhat appalled at the fact that you come barging in here with your rather condescending attitude towards us "fanboys" that enjoy these new developments from Nintendo. I understand you not liking the 3DS, but that kind of attitude is unnecessary.

What? I thought this was a very smart move by Nintendo.

I know someone who got a 3DS for AC: New Leaf (which is a game I personally don't care about. AC: Wild World got incredibly boring after a few months and why would AC: New Leaf end up any different). And that person never uses 3D (just like I do). So there is definitely a target group for it.
Not to forget that I almost never take my 3DS outside, if I ever use it ...

The thing with the "braindead fangirl" and "bad opinions" was solely directed towards the three preceding posters who thought they had to convert me to their taste of games/consoles, not the thread or the whole community.
There is a difference between people who like the 3DS and openly say that and people who antagonize me for not liking it and openly saying that. Not to forget taking things I say and turning them into lies.

I have a 3DS. I play only DS games and the first 2 Mario Land games on it. None of the 3DS games just seem worth buying when there are other games I'm more interested in that are also cheaper.
I regret having exchanged my DSlite for a 3DS. It was a mistake and I will never ever buy a console anymore that hasn't been released for at least several years, no matter what company made it.

But I don't care. Play your games, I will play mine.
I don't judge people based on the games they play.
I didn't mean to offend anyone who likes the 3DS except for Tengu, Watzup7856 and Spikeboy.
And it was a coordinated action by them. If you don't believe me read Spikeboy's post.

I feel that more people have a 3DS than a WiiU
So this was a good move to get even more people to be able to play with each other.

The whole misunderstanding exploded when you made it sound like you said the system had no good games, rather than no games that appealed to you. It does make for a large difference in understanding.

Personally I can relate to you as I don't have an interest in a lot of main series 3DS games coming out, but there are plenty of smaller company titles that I have looking forward to. (Such as Etrian Odyssey Untold and Rune Factory 4). Heck the only main IP from Nintendo I actually own right now on my 3DS is Fire Emblem Awakening, and that game I have mixed feelings for. It was way, way, way better than the previous games (10,11,12) but the more lackluster quantity supports and the larger stat caps and infinite exp really killed my enjoyment of the game on an end-game level. Does not compare to older titles, FE7, FE8(although, FE8 is just plain rushed, but that's a different story), FE9. Especially when the middle part of the game, the one that is also the most amount of chapters, has little to do with the main plot at hand.

But opinions are onions, no sense in crying over them when you are trying to peel the onion apart. What I was trying to get at with this ramble is that the 3DS has a good line up of games on the objective level. Discounting personal opinion and such.

I think the 3DS's other functions clearly make it better than the previous DS consoles. That said, I never had a DSi, though I'm pretty sure they wouldn't just throw rehashed tripe at everyone. A music player, a two way camera, internet access... yep, better than the DS as far as apps go. Though if anyone is fine with just Pictochat, big deal. I'll enjoy all of these features and not mind that.

As for games, I feel like the 3DS library could use an injection of new games, instead of remakes and Mario (which I'm not interested in). If you ask me, it would be great if they brought back F-Zero, or released the GB Megaman games on the E-Shop since I never played them. Yes, definitely would be great~

Oh right, the 2DS. I'm not touching that shit. >_>
