So I went to review Mega Man's frames to Simon's frames to see what I could REALLY change to make this Mega Man look different than just Mega Man with a new costume.
...not a whole lot.
It's basically the same walk cycle, just a different style.
This is probably why there's not a whole lot of good Simon Belmont in Mega Man style, let alone Mega Man in Simon's outfit. Well, I mean UNIQUE ones that aren't just Mega Man with a new costume. And even then that's the whole purpose of this skin, to act as an alternate skin to Mega Man. As well as representing Mega Man for this Expansion Pack (Even if he's already been represented, and even then it's probably an old 2012 skin).
Anyways, I did change a little bit of the sprites as of now.

All I did change was the third walk frame, and the hurt frames. They aren't perfect. But they were the ones that were good enough to REALLY deserve an edit. The rest would be so minor you probably wouldn't even notice at all (Though in-game the sprites are enlarged so you probably would).
Any other changes it really needs? Fixes? Anything?
I kinda don't wanna change the idle.

Wouldn't his back hurt frame need to have the legs switch positions?

EDIT: I meant to bring this up earlier but why is his hair swaying on the side positions?

I did a bit of tinkering on that firing frame

I just wanted to nitpick the crud out of alignments.

My map also gets it's brightness screwed up when loaded with the halloween.pk3 file. Everything is set at 255 lighting for some reason, and that's a humongous no.
So yours is too bright and mine is too dark. :/

EDIT: ...

I looked at the maps from last year's pack...

...I've been taking this project 1000% too seriously, haven't I? D:

EDIT2: Wait, I've been set straight, I now know that this rendition is more serious than last year's, never mind.

Finally, some horror-themed maps that don't use just Shademan's tileset.

I have and always will make swamps for this.

And now that Swordman exists, that'll be a blast to use.

While I'm not necessarily limiting myself to try to make this just Mega Man with Simon's costume, I still wanted to keep the usual logic of it. So in this case, I didn't bother to switch the legs (But if I really need to, I can).
Also, I didn't bother with the hair so whatever you're seeing with the hair, it's the original one.

I didn't really need that, but thanks anyways. :D

Right, right the Megaman-hair skin does that anyway.

I have so many problems with that skin that it's ridiculous.  Really.  It's not even a big deal but it bugs me because I'm dumb.

VirtualSonic, are you giving that skin a walk cycle that looks like Simon's? Just wondering.

Indeed I am, it was suggested earlier in the thread to make the skin a little more unique.
I didn't really like the idea, since Mega Man and Simon's walk cycles are really dang similar when you look really close. There's not a whole lot different I could do to make him unique, besides, the sprite style for Simon compliments his walk cycle. So translating that to Mega Man even moreso would be hurting it if anything. But like I said, the walk cycles are pretty dang similar to begin with. Just Mega Man actually moves his legs more than Simon, who skids across the floor.

Looks good if you ask me. I guess you won't need a 4th walking frame because of the idle sprites, right?

Ugh, I hate it when motivation completely drops off into the lava like a stone. Doesn't help I'm being taken on holiday for two weeks on Monday (but at least no planes are involved! whoo hoo!).

his hands are in different positions in the hit poses

I don't see the issue. If you mean comparing the back/r walk frames to the pain frames, I think they would both handle a different perspective of how the hands are. The ones in the pain frame don't seem  to say "walking"

I don't understand
