As was stated, I absolutely loathe April Fools Day.

Updated first post with alternate 4shared link since I don't like Mediafire and 4shared seems to be working now.

Sorry for the double post, but V1B has been released.  Here's the list of changes again for those who didn't read the first post.

-Deathmatch Map level codes changed.
-Under the Sea's Time Stopper has been replaced with Gravity Hold and the platform made slightly smaller
-Power Stone temporarily replaced in Sky Deck
-Ballade Cracker replaced with Flash Stopper in Sky Deck
-Dive Missile replaced with Magnet Missile in Whomp's Fortress
-Halls of Mirrors fixed in Sunset Canyon (Software mode)

Check the first post for the download.  Note that this was a quick fix for only the more serious issues.

Um....is it just me, or can we not go to the x-pack maps when the wad is in the server?

I tried votemap a few times, getting the maps right, and it stated that the maps do not exist.

Am I screwing up, is this an April fools joke gone bad, or is something really wrong here?

Yes, if you were trying the old ones, go with xdm01 through xdm08.  If that doesn't work then I have no idea what's wrong.

Ah. Sorry; I didn't see where that was posted.

That's ok, I figured somebody would miss the change.  I did it because the level codes were all over the place so you'd have to take the time to memorize them.  This way, although it's harder to tell which map is which, at least you can just guess the level codes.

For Top Spin:  I wanted people to have some way to attack by jumping like Mario.  If I hear more requests for it to be changed, I'll do so but not yet..

Well, here's another request for it to be changed(since I know you already addressed it). It's not gamebreaking or anything, but IMO it should be at the top of the tower where star crash is now. Think about it: it's the most powerful weapon easily. Put it at the top where it takes some time to get is usually the way to go. IMO, Star Crash loses some use because of the other high-power close range weapons present (e.g. Shadow/Napalm). I also feel Atomic Fire could be at the top instead (and it's a Mario map, after all - gotta have some fire!)

Oh and the v2 changes are all good IMO. One of the things I noticed in v1(not sure if it's fixed): In the race map, is crossing the finish line supposed to eliminate the other players? I've noticed this happening usually instantly, although sometimes there's a delay/need for the line to be crossed again. It also usually gets pretty shaky(the screen) when we were doing it online in v1. Not sure if it's been changed in v2 though.

Alright, how about this:  If I get two more requests to move Top Spin to the top of the tower, I'll do it.  I don't want to due to sentimental reasons, but oh well.

As for the race map, I have no idea why the script is sometimes delayed.  That's one of the many reasons I didn't make another race map:  the concept had flaws that I couldn't solve.  The screen gets shaky on purpose when you get near the end due to an Earthquake.  However, from my tests, sometimes it remains shaky after the first lap through even when the map resets, which is why I recommended that somebody set the win limit to 1 and have only that map in the playlist when playing online.

Why not replace Top Spin with Sakugarne?

...now before you say it's just a troll wep, hold on. The map has lots of vertical variety and tons of ledges so pogo-stick riders can literally "get the drop on" their enemies. It's powerful when it hits, usually OHKOing on a solid landing. Also, it's closer to Mario's jump, allowing you to spring high and do damage when you land. Like some good ol' fashioned Goomba stomping!

Seconding replacing Top Spin with Sakugarne. It needs to be in more maps anyway.
