Well, how it works for me is if you double click and try to join a server with a wad you don't have, it will automatically search for the necessary files, download them, then immediately start the game.  HOWEVER, you have to go to options and set up the directory you want the files to install to first.

Heh. We've got the two mapmaker giants working on a Plant-texture map? XD The comparison will be fun. I assume the water will be "shallow", yes? But anyway - The Sand Sea changes SOUND like something I was looking for (felt the interior parts weren't flshed out), Rolling Cutter is good, and so on.

Anyway, the real reason I'm here. This "Path to the Truth" might interest you a bit. (see, I didn't even recognize the version you have at all, even despite having the original song binded to W! It was so grating I assumed it had to be a Sonic track, har) I suggest listening to that version and your version back to back and seeing what you like.

Yeah, both Ivory and I had our own plans for forest stages without really telling each other.  Ivory got done before I even started so I converted mine from a swamp to a forest paradise to make them different.

Also, I knew that version existed, I just don't like it as much.  I know it sounds more like the original but I hate having the melody on the triangle instrument.

Nope.  I've been very very busy this week and I'm also not in a mapping mood.  I MIGHT clean up a few small things and release the update some time early next week just so I don't completely forget about it.

Just thought I'd update.  I was going to work on this pack this weekend, but I got Portal 2 for my birthday (which was Saturday since I have a feeling somebody will ask) and, well, that was that.  God I love that game.  Anyhoo, I might do as discussed earlier and release it as I have it so far.  That means no Under the Sea update (I just can't figure out how to do what I want to do) or additional maps (I have no good ideas) like I wanted to.  However, if I gather the interest and strength to keep working, I will continue.

i really like this wad. i also really like Sky Deck and Blade Man.
Blade mans stage is really good, good enough to be in a mega man 10 expansion.

Well that's alright. Happy Birthday, and have fun with your game. Who knows, you might end up coming up with an idea just by playing.

Portal Testing Chamber maps would be awesome but they'd have to use custom tiles...

I'm just going to say I really hate the CTD map. A water based map isn't the best idea for CTF.

That's why there's a route to avoid the water.

There is? I didn't see one... Still, in 1fctf the flag spawns in a REALLY bad location.

Stuffs!

I think that Frigid Ocean or whatever it is called should be extended a bit. I mean, you can see one base from the other and you just have to run between them which takes less than 15 seconds! (I counted myself at 12)

Sunset Canyon's rocks have an annoying black box, perhaps use things instead? Might be a bit tricky to make the rockfalls work correctly so maybe keep them as sectors :>

Wily Space Base could have a bigger bottom section or something. Like, bridges to other floating platforms. I know it was all low gravity in MM10, but perhaps remove the low gravity on the upper section and add more platforms for navigation. Low gravity isn't so fun to fight in, especially when the whole stage is like that!

Christmas Cape is fine but there's a little box of ice you can use to get up to the higher cliff, and it's nearly impossible to find. Maybe make it into a pyramid of cubes so that it actually sticks out of the wall it's hidden in... so you actually know it's there. I also despise the music (sorry Joseph, but boss themes don't fit stages...) so I'll do some foraging for a new theme!

OMG SKY DECK IS PURRFECT <3

Super Mario 64 DS had a platform that linked the starting area and the area where Top Spin is, perhaps study the remake because that platform would aid flow really well!

Sand Sea is getting a remake so all I'll say is that I found the secret!

Alpha Sector is good too (memorrieees). There's a tiny cube room that could probably be merged with the bigger main section!

Oh and Under the Sea is my second favourite map in the pack so don't change that one either!

I don't see why I didn't write this up when the back first game out, but yeah... looking forward to the new maps!
