An Issue with Loading

So I've been hearing about MM8BDM for the longest time, and figured I wanted to give it a try.  Couple problems with it though: First, I have a Mac, but that's not too much of an issue(why will be explained in the second one).  The second, the the actual problem is that while I can actually manage to run it through Wine, when I try to play any mode, the top half of the screen is fine, but the bottom half is a jumble of glitch and blargh and is generally unplayable.  For those wondering how I got it to run through Wine, I opened the .exe file, and simply ran it through one of my prefixes.  I dunno if that's the problem, but that's what I did.  If anyone could help me out with this, I'd greatly appreciate it.  I'm sure everyone else with a Mac and similar problems would too.

hmm, this probably should go under help and editing, but whatever.

I recall Zandronum doing very funny things under Wine in software mode.  I had a friend who ran ....some Linux variant (hell if I remember, wasn't ubuntu) and he loaded it up in Wine there.  The result was none of the text showed up.  The solution was to switch to OpenGL mode.  The easiest way is to load the game up, when it fully loads, pull down the console (default binding: ~) and then type 'vid_renderer 1' and then exit the program.  When you reload, it hopefully will solve your issue.  If that is no good, there is a Mac binary for Zandronum that you could probably use, though unfortunately I am not familiar offhand on how to get it to work. (There is a topic somewhere on this though)
