The man who had the idea of this "Improvement" should be sent in the darkest and hottest place of Norfair's depths.
That's all I have to say.

Welp, learnt something new about the YouTube update.

Sometimes, randomly, the video will stop, and refuse to go on any longer. Although this has happened to me once or twice before, once the new update happened, it happens a LOT!

And unlike before, restarting the video doesn't work, nor does refreshing the page or closing the tab and re-opening it. YOU HAVE TO CLOSE YOUR BROWSER ENTIRELY AND RE-OPEN IT TO GET IT TO WORK!

Heck, this happened to me probably over 50 times THIS EVENING!

Oh yeah, that too.

It's really annoying, because it messes with your perception of the video, which I don't know about you, but I find it very annoying.

Why doesn't YouTube have a setting where you can set which video quality you get by default? Like, I could set it to 1080p, and if there's only 780p,or 380p on the videos I am watching, it just picks the highest quality. Why don't they have something like that, instead of crapping all over it when your connection gets obstructed for, like, 1 SECOND!

Yep. Their team of monkeys is working on it.

...If they did have a team of monkeys, it would explain just too much.

I'll be honest... I'm starting to get used to it.
*sigh*

But still Google needs to listen to the damn community. If they don't more and more updates will come and it'll make YouTube worse.

A list of some YouTubers I know against the new comments:
boogie2988
HowToBasic
TotalBiscuit
Aquarius199
PewDiePie
AlexDuPreeGaming
MrRepzion

there are tons more out there.

The new comments system is the very reason why there ARE 'Bob' comments.

Y'know, the worst thing about it all is that they have no incentive to change it back to how it originally was, or to combine all the best elements of the previous years and mash 'em all together, because let's be honest, we'll never leave.

There's just nowhere else to go for videos. I mean, we could always upload our stuff to different sites, but nobody will ever view 'em anywhere near as much.
And of course, everyone else always keeps uploading to Youtube, so all the best stuff is there, so we're basically in a blackhole of shit. They could screw our mothers and they'd still get away with it!

That being said, we could always move over to Google videos, amirite? Dohoho! (Spoilers: That's gonna be Youtube's new name next year, I guarantee it)

It won't be renamed that quickly.
Brand recognition is a huuuuge thing. Not to forget, wasn't there a Google Video site that was completely unsuccessful?

Look at Instagram, Flickr and Tumblr, for example. They all got acquired by a very influential company and still kept their name.
The word "Youtube" has become deeply associated with watching videos on the internet. Why would you suddenly change the name to something that doesn't have the potential to have nearly as much influence?

To be honest, I was half joking, but ya never know!

You're right that they'll never change the name in a thousand years, but still, it's pretty much Google Video in all but name.
They're kinda latching onto Youtube like some kind of Google headcrab.

I'm probably exaggerating to hell and back, but that's what it honestly feels like at the moment. And there's not much that can be done about it, aside from hoping that they pay attention to our plees. This time.

Now with that being said, I'm off to be a hypocrite and browse some more Googtube.  :geek:

Yeah, whenever I try to leave in anger. It manages to suck me back in.
Because all the videos I like to watch are THERE.

Goddamn you Google. Stop fucking with your users.

OoooaaH BOY:

Welp, that's it for the final nail on the coffin.
The new comments and integration, sorta annoy me still, but seriously, I've learned to sorta live with that one. But this... THIS is TOO DAMN MUCH.

YouTube used to be creative and free...
but then the changes started to slowly happen.

- They gave you the ability to make your channel look boring (One Channel). Afterwards, they enforced it.
- They constantly bugged you on and on to join G+ (if you made an account pre-Google+ era). Afterwards, you couldn't even type your thoughts into the videos' comments unless you join them.
- Now, you can't upload gaming videos no more. Nothing copyrighted of the sort. Unacceptable, not even for fair use.

Google = The Nazis right now.
