It got worse. Two game creators are getting pinged by copyright claims... on the games they made. Here's a forum post on the Escapist site for a bit of background, along with a video from everyone's favorite (?) bearded profanity fountain, AlphaOmegaSin.

This is getting beyond ridiculous.

Seriously though, I wonder why huge companies with tons of power can't retain a sense of caring for what the customers want. Someone should write a book with some sort of "10 Commandments of Mega-Corporations" so they will still have ethics and have the right mindset.

I was going to vote in the poll, but then the "I don't care" option disappeared so yea.

I just really don't care. I mean, I use youtube ALL the time, and unless any of my ancient youtube poops get flagged from 2008 or so, it just isn't affecting me.

Yeah I'm pretty much with Rozark here.

I don't monetize my videos and I just upload covers so I'm at no risk. The comment thing still kinda bugs me but signing for Google+ is so trivial that I'll probably just sit down someday and do it just to get it over with.

I won't deny that the site's been getting worse, but it doesn't outright kill my enjoyment of the content on the site. I'm not going to suddenly stop using what I've known since 2008 just because a few of its policies changed.

Of course, it goes both ways. Just as Youtube can't be killed by viewers alone, it can't be saved by viewers alone. If all those big channels leave, Youtube's not going to stick around. Really, it's in the hands of the people who are having their content flagged. Whether they want to deal with it or jump ship, that's their option and it'll be the one that carries the most weight

Didn't they say they were making real people check for copyright?

How would they have real people check for copyrighted content if people upload what is probably many orders of magnitude more hours of footage per day than there are hours in a day? It's CERTAINLY a bot doing this stuff.

And the bot reaches a point where it develops a sense of sentience, and we're all DoomeD!

none of my stuff got flagged yet so i think as long as your channel is not monetized aka getting money from vids i think we're fine posting Mm8bdm for now

Thaaat waas what I was panning to dooo.... =_=;
.
.
Edit: Read over the license that came with mm8bdm, nothing about it bars me from making videos, and capcom is ok with it.I just have to worry if nintendo has anything to say about it
.
Edit: Screw it, Im abandoning the idea. Nintendo and probobly sony would most likely have a problem with it plus it feels wrong to profit off of what Mike and the community made

Oh, hey, recently I found a video that still has the old comment system but still asks you to use Google+ for it. Surprisingly, not supposed to be an excuse to try to get you to watch the anime.
