The Youtube Degradation Thread

It would seem that Google is doing nasty things to YouTube, nasty things indeed.
If this doesn't stop, we may have to leave the sinking ship.

It seems that Google is not giving any attention to the people complaining. That makes me mad.
Inspired by this thread over at Doomworld.

Yeah, they brought it back, it's too painful. I hate using Google+.

In fact, even the CO-FOUNDER of YouTube found this annoying.
Jawed Karim, one of the founders of YouTube said this: "why the fuck do I need a Google+ account to comment on a video?"

Then there's this guy who made a video to complain:

They removed the character limit.
Which pisses me off, because they promised to make sure there would be less undesirable comments. Like spam, for example. Now, without the character limit, people have been posting ASCII, random typing (ex: "asdafsgagjtt") which covers the whole page, and whole scripts of movies (I once saw the entire script of 'Braveheart' in the comments).

In brutal honestly: I don't give a Rat's ass about it. Personally if it doesn't affect videos or the search engine on youtube, then I'm fine. Personally I think everyone is over-reacting about the whole update thing. Especially with some of the things I've seen.

You got a point there, but what if this is just the tip of the iceberg?
What if we don't react? What will Google do? Not give a shit. So they'll just throw more and more crap out at us until it DOES affect the videos.

Worst-Case-Scenario: They integrate Google+ into watching videos, forcing you to connect to Google+ before even getting to watch videos.

Best-Case-Scenario: They won't listen to our rants, raves and petitions.
But nothing changes and nothing worse happens.

I don't care for comments. In fact, the only thing that pissed me off was that they separated the playlist bar from the video.

YouTube really just gets worse and worse with each update... they're focusing too much on the social aspect of it rather than allowing ease of access and personalization. At one point, it was perfect. You could mark videos in your subscription feed as watched, and never see them again. But no, they had to remove that in the latest update to the layout. Now the front page of YouTube focuses on suggested videos (which are often videos I don't want to watch), and they completely removed channel customization! This is just one of many horrible decisions that Google made with YouTube, and for that, I'm going to post incredibly long spam comments to show people horrendous the system is, then sign the petition.

Forcing people to use the confusing Google+ crap in order to actually say stuff is evil.
