Rockman 4MI uses a sound chip that wasn't used in the original Megaman 4; this to be hacked into the original Megaman 1 isn't entirely out of the question. You would need the FTM/NSFs, though.

I believe the NSFs are included with the MP3s. At least the MM3 NSF was.

EDIT: The reference to the GB tracks was a smart move, and so was improvising on Guts Man's track. But really, EVERYTHING was awesome.

The coolest things about these remixes (besides their awesomeness), is that if you take the NSFs, and play them with all 3 VRC6 channels and the DMC channel disabled (so they use the same channels as the originals), most of them still sound pretty damn good!

I usually listen to them with DMC and Sawtooth disabled anyway.

I liked this one, actually.  A lot more than I liked the MM3 one.  I walked in all negative-like thinking he was going to fail my favorite songs again (And apparently I caused enough of a ruckus in the comments for him to notice, because he sent me a direct cover of MM3DW3 in YouTube's PM box (I know it's simple but I liked it so leave me alone ;-;)), but as time went on, I really grew to like it.  I don't understand every design choice he made (Why is Ice-Man fast???), but the songs I was afraid of him messing up are the ones he did an excellent job on.  And that Final Boss Battle is excellent~
Needless to say, when this one gets an MM8BDM Music Pack, I'll actually pick it up.

Ok, so I just watched this thing that will now be known as a "coverplay".

Huge props on both Ice Man and Elec Man's mixes. You'd think Elec Man's theme would be the upbeat one...

Also the Rockman World bits? Loved it. The MM1 mimic bits? Loved it. How Wily's UFO was just as loud as it should be (don't know if that was game audio or you actually increased the audio volume right there during edition)? Loved it.

But fucking bustering ELECTRIC MACOUGH COUGHohmylungs.

Good job won't cut it. It's just not enough, I guess a thumbs up and a "great as usual" might do.

My god, I thought you couldn't top your MM3 covers, but you did. Wonderful, wonderful work. The Wily Themes in particular are just goddamn amazing.
Also, smooth playing as well! Wily Stage 2 looked like cakewalk to you.

It was kind of medium, took like 3-4 tries.  The worst was Wily 4, it took a lot of tries, this is why I got so good at the first part.  

Before doing this I hadn't played MM1 in a long time, so I was pretty damn rusty.  I got through most of the RM stages in 1-2 tries (usually really really stupid retries like wasting a full minute trying to make a certain jump or something like that) but the wily stages were generally harder.

I just noticed, playing that Iceman cover with PAL speed makes it as fast as the original MM1 track.

Definitely like it better at PAL speed.

the Title screen and Wily 4 themes also play at the original track's speeds when played at PAL speed.

Oh, I almost forgot: that title screen theme was wonderful. I think it fits a "welcome to Mega Man" vibe really well.

Fuck it, rewatching. This is pretty damn good.

EEDIT: TITLE SCREEN SO GOOOOD. I want that looping FOREVER!

Wily stage 2 is awesome too, i can imagine when there is the second boss battle: "It's ME, ELECMAN, megaman, prepare to the fight!" "NOOOO im dead, but oh wait, i have the rolling cutter! x) "
