how can i enable cheats on my server

i want to play a deathmatch against the computer where i win with 1 frag but since only the server can set 1 frag to win and the bots are too difficult for me to defeat every time i need to enable cheat codes. how can i do that.

Right, there's a trick.  You need to reset the world by doing a map change (not changemap).  So let's say you want to play DM on cutman

Short version, if it says 'next game' it wants you to issue the map command.

that just caused it to switch to single player.

You said you wanted to enable cheats on your server right? You would type this on the server console then, not your local console.  HOWEVER, if you are playing a skirmish then you need to enter the sv_cheats command BEFORE you start the game and would omit the map change command.

i figured it out on my own. what i did was that i wrote the sv_cheats 1 on the screen that shows server status like number of players present.(in the text box at the bottom.) after that i changed map through the map screen and then cheat codes could be used through the ingame console but not like in doom and the idclip cheat doesnt work.

Cheats like IDDQD, IDCLIP, IDKFA don't work online (last I recall).  You'll need the console equivalent.  GOD, NOCLIP, GIVE ALL (or Give Weapons, Give Ammo, Give RollingCutterWep) etc etc.

Afaik, you can type IDDQD and friends in the console, you just can't type it outside the console.

Korby is correct.  IDDQD, IDKFA and whatnot (but not IDCLIP) are concommands.
