Mega Man Perler Bead Goodness
« on: February 05, 2014, 09:34:37 AM »
Figured I shouldn't post these in my art thread, since these aren't mine. My girlfriend is a crafter, and one of the myriad of crafts she does is perler bead art. Knowing I'm a big Mega Man fan, she frequently does Mega Man bead sprites to give me as gifts. So I figured I'd show off her awesome work!

Worth noting; she used glow-in-the-dark beads for the eyes for a nifty effect, and also on several highlights to add an extra effect to some of them.

Punk (has extra glowing highlights on the tips of his spikes, his knuckles, knees, and the eyebrow patters above his eyes)
(click to show/hide)

Pharaoh Man (she didn't have the exact colors on-hand. Glowing beads on parts of his helmet)
(click to show/hide)

Gyro Man (used a special green that lets light pass through, making it glow when behind a light source)
(click to show/hide)

I'll probably post a few more (and show what they look like with their respective effects) later.

These bead crafts look pretty good. Has your girlfriend ever done other 8-bit characters too?

She made a SMB1 Goomba Sprite for me as a surprise to go with Punk (she told me about Punk when she was making him, surprised me with an extra Goomba), since I have a love for Mario enemies.

Other than that, she only recently started taking up perler sprites.
