So... wow. From the looks of it, we just bared witness to some sort of robot uprising taking place within a dystopian classic series universe -- yet -- the trailer cuts to footage of Iris, Alia and Signas (X series characters), toiling away as if they're providing aid to the very situation at hand. Classic/X series crossover, anyone?

According to Stoo.com, the source of the trailer, the game will indeed feature characters from both series, specifically outlining the presence of classic Rockman, Blues (Proto Man), Forte (Bass), X and Zero. Just how these characters will relate to one another is unknown at this time so it's up for speculation.

Aside from the above tidbit about characters, no new details about the game were reveal. However, once again, various Korean sites are promising more details will trickle out in the near future.

If you're new to this whole Rockman Online hubbub, allow me to summarize what we know so far: Rockman Online is a side-scrolling action RPG, boasting 3D graphics on a two dimensional plane, much like Mega Man X8 and Maverick Hunter X. Familiar faces and NPCs will make up the game's cast in addition to online players.

The game is being cooperatively developed by Capcom and NeoWiz with plans to distribute the title exclusively in Korea and Asian markets by the end of 2010.  While there's been no word of a release for the West, a Japanese release is likely, if a trademark is to be believed.

I have no faith the game will be any good but this trailer is pretty pimp at least.

Yeah it has X characters, how can it be good!  :cool:

Still more interested in MMU which should have more revealed at PAX this September. Hopefully some god damn gameplay.

I never really liked X myself.  No need for it, stick with Mega Man.

But uh, at first this video seemed to be EXACTLY how the downfall of Mega Man occured, and y'know, how it goes on to X.  Does it ever explain how Mega Man is oblitherated in the X series?  I don't think so.

Saddest part of the video?  Mega Man and Roll desperatly trying to reach one-another in the horde of Mega Clones.  THAT'S sibling love right there.

I never got the part with Mega Man and Proto Man fighting.  Do they fight alot in the games?  I mean BESIDES Proto Man's debut? (lolmegaman3)

They fight in MM7 randomly, and then Proto Man gives you his shield.

The light RMs didn't appear to look hostile when Rock encountered them so it seems like (speculation on my part) they're going to team up with him, similar to how they did in the manga.

Digressing, who's loving the detail on their designs? Finally they actually look like robots instead of power rangers :p

Kinda.  Not TOO much though.

But, considering what I've heard before this trailer (It's Mega Man X, I know that's not exactly true now) I didn't expect to see Mega Man.  After all those disasterious events I concluded THIS was how Mega Man died.  But, apparently not.

Who else had something similar to this?

I hope it has an American release, or I'll cry.

I dunno about you guys, but I love the concept of X. Its a great story, and I've always wanted a game that explained the intro of the series.

Now I just need to know they'll have an epic battle with Zero.

It's being made by koreans who are doubtful about releasing it westward.
Judging by the trailer being online, for everyone, I think (?) they've reconsidered...

Okay, still don't get the timeline between X and Classic. See? That's why I love the though of a game that bridges the two.

...That's too bad, though. It would be epic to battle him.
