Where did you get your name?

Back in my younger days I made superhero characters out of all my friends, and mine was called J. the Blade because his weaponry was two swords. And later when WWF and The Rock was all the rage, my friend called himself The Ice and I called myself The Blade.

When I first went online I named myself after a Turok 2 enemy Lord of the Flesh. But later I realized "Lordoflesh" was really a terrible username. So for my second try I took "The Blade" and added my last name, and there you have it.

For some reason, I kept thinking your name was Blues is cool too instead of Blue. Don't I feel like a donkey now...

Yeah, it also occurred to me that I should have had like Blues is cool too to be more Mega Man fitting.

I was making a new character in Runes of Magic. An Elf kind. So what I wanted was a name that sounded like an Elf, but was still somewhat original. The result was Vyreon (forget the fact that there is a one-man progressive metal band called Ayreon -- I do not listen to his music and I swear I did not have him in mind), which I also used later on League of Legends (LoL). When first playing MM8BDM, I did not know what name to use, but Vyreon came to mind. I megamanized it and stuck with it, later that day registering at the forum as, yeah, Vyreman.

Yep, the nickname is very recent, and is subject to change. I doubt it will be my permanent nick, like many of yours. I wish I was in your shoes...it's so cool. You also get to be nostalgic when "looking back" at the origin of your name; I've had no such experience, because I switch nick like every second month. Except Simoneer -- that's something I use on a lot of sites, and have done the past 2 years, but never as something serious, and USUALLY as just a username rather than nickname (like login names for MMORPGs and such). Now you know my real name, though. Simon.

I like that name because of The Saint and Castlevania.

I just put one word in front of "Tengu" and "Man" which so happened to be "True" that it just stuck with me. That... and I loved Tengu Man so... yeaahhhh...

Oh and apparently people seem incapable of pronouncing this name despite every first letter being capitalized so it's also the perfect name to inflict confusion which I OOOOH SOOOO LOVE  ((I also wonder why those said people put soooo much F#$%ing emphasis on the "G" in Tengu... :mad Seriously... does that LOOK like it pronounces Tenju? May as well Pronounce "Good" as "Jood" and "God" as "Jod"))

Well, I've had a million billion names online and I've never really liked any of them much or used any of them that long-- actually the longest one I ever used was "Breakman" or "BreakmanDX", which would have been very fitting for here since it's from Break Man from Mega Man 3, but I never liked that name all that much since it wasn't terribly unique, just being taken from a game (no offense to you guys who use names like that, it's just a personal thing).  So lately I've been wanting to stick to just one name for good and I was thinking of all the unique names I've ever thought up, and this one seemed like the coolest/least stupid; I basically took the name Elias, which I used online a lot, which I got from a character in the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics, and added an "R" to it after I found out it was a real name that was decently common.  I dunno, it's just kinda simple and sounds cool and looks cool, so it works, and I can use any kind of avatar or whatever and still have it fit (unlike when I was using "copyrighted" names like some form of Breakman, or Yoshi, or some pokemon).
