mmbn 2 and 3 weird thing
« on: May 07, 2014, 07:54:11 PM »
The weird thing is that sean needed to create a supernavi named Forte -ends up in gospel-
sean said dr.wily asked him to create a supernavi called forte in mmbn3
but why would dr.wily ask him to create a fake forte while later
dr.wily worked with forte to release alpha

can anyone explain this?

I'm not super knowledgeable about MMBN's storyline (and I certainly don't know what differences the Japanese versions have) but I can make some guesses.

If we're going purely by the "main storyline" in each game (which doesn't include post-ending content), I would assume Wily was manipulating Sean during MMBN2 to clone Bass.EXEs simply so he could have one to break Alpha's seal. Of course, MegaMan.EXE defeated a clone Bass.EXE and the Multibug Organism Gospel, which lead to Sean's arrest and also being freed from Wily's manipulation.

Without Sean to make Bass.EXE clones, Wily still needed one to free Alpha. As it happens, he was able to find the REAL Bass.EXE, and trick him into a deal so that he would agree to work for him. Apparently, Wily promised Bass.EXE the power to defeat the humans (who betrayed Bass.EXE), and so gullible Bass.EXE followed his orders. Since he now had the real Bass.EXE, there was no longer a need for clones.

There may have been other reasons for cloning Bass.EXE too, such as having an army of them (would be handy!) or because he simply couldn't find or persuade the real Bass.EXE until the events of MMBN3 (the fact that he could find a rare navi like Bass.EXE and persuade him is pretty miraculous, so I can see why cloning would seem ideal at first).

when i played exe 2, i didnt understand a lot of things because my english wasnt good at all (2007 around)....i need to re-play it... (I ordered EXE 2, second cardrige because i need to do some battle to get special battlechips to finish at 100%..)
I used a french solution to finish exe 1-3....before.... :/
The story of exe 2 and exe 3 looks pretty good!

I actually couldn't remember MMBN3's story at all; makes me want to get the one coming out for Wii U so I can play through again (and on the better version).

I love MMBN2 a bunch though, and always forget the part at the end that mentions how Sean forming Gospel and attempting to clone Bass isn't entirely his own doing. It's pretty cool how they continued the story in MMBN3. Also, the role of Cossack sounds neat too.
