The topic can still be discussed, it's not like it's going to hurt anyone by being bumped. If it was an old release topic or something, then you can whine about it ;)

I have been counter whined!

time to shift strategies...

Mike, can you put Treble into the MM7 expansion? I had an awesome idea for him. He stands still, where you summon him, and basically tracks the nearest person with a laser beam. I think he did this in The Power Fighters. It should be verrry powerful but also slow so people can circle strafe him and he'd only get unaware players.

I thought in power battles he dashed at the enemy and did damage? I would have done that, but tango fills that roll already.

He was a pickup like rush, but he was for bass and he fired his lasor! I'll look for a vid!

And he's not Tango! He's a very cool idea :3

Here's Treble's sprites, including his fire lazor because I couldn't find any videos

i have an idea for reggae, he would very rarely appear instead of eddie and do something bad, like taking 3 bars of damage away or blocking your vision, afterall, he was a bad item to get in rockboard!

Maybe in a CTF map he would be in all the shortcuts and automatically be used when touched.

*chin-taps* Here's an idea for Treble...

What if...

Treble gets summoned and you have a horde of enemies dashing at you. Treble lands and lets out a loud roar/howl that literally blasts enemies back. Kinda like a wide-spread Tornado Storm... just a thought.

I'd like the earlier idea that Reggae appears very rarely instead of Eddie. Allows him to still be in older maps.

I like the "random effect" idea that was his original use, although the various effects should probably be tweaked, so it's not as rage-inducing such as quickbeams out of random walls.

So essentially it will act like Sjas's right click, but doesn't make you immortal for a short time?
Cool.

I like this idea!

Only problem is "Will it be useful in combat?"
My answer: Yes.

Most levels have pit-traps, spike traps, etc. Imagine if you use Treble and literally SHOVED them into said traps? [E.G. Airman's stage, Bomb-man's stage, bubble-man's stage, etc.] Plus it'll give you some breathing room to dash away, get ammo/health/items/etc.

It'll be EXCEPTIONALLY useful in Roboenza. Get the zombies to "Back off!"

Reggae should have various aleatory negative effects, like increasing the prices from properties, taking away Zenny from the player or destroying a building.
Or summon forcebeams from all walls in the stage

You realise the stuff you mentioned isn't in the game? Forcebeams is cool but overpowered and annoying.

Reggae should have various aleatory negative effects, like increasing the ammo required for weapons and decreasing the amount of ammo you gain with each pickup. Or possibly removing an item/weapon from inventory

In my opinion, any random effects that Reggae has should be nonlethal. It should be a support item, not a weapon item that works 20% of the time and does other stuff 80% of the time. It should also have everyone being afflicted by equal effects, including the person using it.

Disregarding skulltag limitations, various example effects could be:

Everyone near Reggae:

Has their health restored to full.
Has the ammo for the current weapon depleted instantly.
Has the ammo for ALL their weapons depleted instantly.
Gets their current weapons exchanged. Were you just wreaking havoc with water wave? Not anymore, you're now wielding that dude over there's Gyro Attack, while he has the Power Stone from that other dude.
Gets equipped with a random weapon. Everyone gets the same. (Suddenly, napalm bombs everywhere!)
Gets tossed around as if they were hit by Wind Storm. (Only potentially lethal.)
