the place where we put our literary art is the Cutopian Writer's Guild, over here
over here in this Quote thread we just put little snippets that could become stories but we're too lazy to make them

and I think everyone would prefer the Anyone's Art thread to stay full of visual art, not literary art

When I first saw this thread I thought it was for quoting other cutstuff members. I was kind of disappointed to find out otherwise.

I will have to agree with Bikdark*, this thread doesn't really have a reason to exist. While I don't have anything against everyone's Original Characters(TM), the Character Catalog thread could easily be expanded to encompass all sorts of fanworks related to them, whether or not the characters themselves, short stories, and any other miscalleny. It does not need a separate thread.

The catalog is moreso meant to house character descriptions, locations, and beyond that act like a catalog

Let me put this more bluntly then. The majority of forum users likely do not care about your Original the Character's cheesy one-liners. At least not enough to warrant an entire thread.

I don't mind people making their own fictional characters, hell, I make them all the time for different settings and purposes, but I don't wave them around like featherdusters and pretend that anyone cares about them.

It's bad because the thread serves literally no purpose other than XDXDXD look at my funnee original character one liners xdxdxd. It has nothing to do with cutstuff and only furthers the "we hate anyone who isn't already in the community" state of mind.

But that could easily devolve into a flame war, with users claiming they didn't say a certain something.

In any case, this doesn't really qualify as a forum game. Let people have their fun. Don't like it? There's plenty other stuff to do other than take a constipated dump in this thread.

Aside from that, I do like reading the posted lines, even if I don't know where they came from. This is more of a fiction-parody thread, and I find that enjoyable.
