what. Patenting controller vibration in specific in-game conditions?

excuse me, Nintendo would like to have a word with you CAPCOM. They've had vibrating controllers and games that use it since 1996. Dunno when CAPCOM started using that feature though.

(Actually, CAPCOM didn't have any problem with Nintendo Land's Luigi's Mansion game. Considering how the controllers vibrate when the enemy "ghost" is near)

Still, it's dumb that CAPCOM is patenting a general idea. You can't do that

Or maybe they know that, but they realize how much money they're not getting by seemingly not releasing many games (a video game series about a specific blue robot comes to mind...), so they're trying to get money another way. $9.4 million dollars IS a lot!

You can, in insane countries like the USA.

You can not do so in countries like Germany that explicitly don't grant software patents.

Yeah, making games for unpleasable fanbases isn't a very good investment, so they're cashing in their IP chips and riding the fighting game hype train as long as there's rails in front of them. Pretty smart business model, all in all.

True but when i see the Facebook page or others websites of megaman..it seems Megaman classic/X are the most asked (with MM Legends) for a new game.
I will say MM classic > MM X > MM Legend when i see the forum of fb pages.....
The fanbases of Battle Network is pretty no-active compared to the mmclassic one.
Could be cool to have a new classic game.....nextgen? But anyways, it's not the point of the topic....

If Capcom win, so they are right, i dont know how "works" this kind of thing..... and when you see all those people who are against Capcom with this news, if they lose the debate thing, it could be a BIG shame on them.
