I say we just host a public server (with password) and have a Skype/Vent room  available for everyone to cram into and chat.

Also, a skype party sounds fun, I guess. I don't think I would have the guts to talk though, I don't know if my voice is still girly over microphone as it usually is.

A stream should show a bit of the single-player campaign, to wet up our appetites. After the game is done uploading and everyone promptly snatches up their own individual copies, the stream should (maybe?) switch over to a view of the MM8BDM Release Party Server. Then, there are two options... One, join the server and kick some serious robot ass, while text chatting with others, or... Two, watch the matches via the stream and chat with others who are spectating.
