As for my questions:

1: Is tengu man available to customize ?

2: If so, then who can i turn to help me with customization. (I've read a little bit on how to do so, but I would still like some help just in case).

YESSSS. good to hear, but i also have a follow up question: Can i hook a game controller up for this ?  I don't mind using the keys, but i don't think i'll last for very long doing so

There is the ability to use a joy pad with Zandronum, yes. It varies which joy pad in question, though.
I recommend straight up connecting one and going into joy pad options in game.

I recommend Keyboard + Mouse, but if you want to use joypad... Yes, it does have joypad support, as Lego said.
